The city this year has taken over the former Cub and Bear program from STAHA.  This was done to make it more affordable for the parents.  The city can operate the program at a lower cost since they don’t have to pay for the ice.  This city program is for anyone who either does not want to play on a NORCAL team or there is no NORCAL team for their age group.  The city is having two informational / placement / skate and sign up nights on 8/27 and 9/3 for $10 per person.  The times are 5:15-6:45 for Mites and Squirts and 7:00-8:30 for Peewee, Bantam, and Midgets.  The program will be every Wednesday starting 9/10 and run through 12/ 17.  The cost for this program will be between $130 and $160 per child.  Loaner/ rental equipment is available.

If there is enough interest the city will be holding ice swap competition games with out of the area in house teams through-out the season.

There is enough interest right now to form a Mite Tournament team that would compete in ice swaps games and regional tournaments.  In addition to the city Wednesday night training, there will be a Monday night training from 5:45-6:45 starting 10/6 through 12/15.  The cost for the additional training will be $175-$200 per child.
